Delta Epsilon Chi Conference

I went to Orlando this weekend with the Belmont E-Club. It was great fun and I'm so glad I went.

Here's our fabulous team and the advisers who made it all happen.

I competed in the E-Commerce Decision Making case study and placed in the Top Ten.

A new hanger?

When I first spotted this I thought it was totally stupid, but now seeing that it's "art" I get it. The only feasible use I can see for it though it as a clothing display in a store. Detailed pics and video after the jump.

hmmm I see magnetic hanger displays in the future Kirsti Boutique.

Geek Squad sinking lower

Being in the computer support business I'm very aware of the various "rent a geek" companies that have been springing up in the past few years. I've always liked Geek Squad, maybe its the cute VW Beetles. This past year has been really tough for Geek Squad a while back they were hit with pirating software and peeping on customers, they are now dropping their backroom techs by 40% and moving its remote help to India. Somehow I don't this will help its tarnishing image.

But, the "Mission Complete" graphic is pretty cute, too bad that poor computer is still virus infected.

1-800-GOOG-411

Google is now offering a cool new service, it's a free voice based 411 service. There are no human operators but you can be connected to the business for free or be sent all the details via SMS, no more fumbling for paper and a pen, who uses those anyway?

The voice recognition is pretty good and the virtual Google dude is pretty nice, give 1-800-GOOG-411 a shot and let me know how you like it.
